Hey friends! I hope it’s time for a coffee break, so you can sit back and take a moment to catch up. 🫶🏼
Christmas lights are going up, calendars are filling fast, and carols are already playing everywhere — but I need to hit pause on the holiday rush for a minute to tell you about December’s Wednesday Webinar!
Our Webinar Wednesday guest was Mindy Lefaucheur, founder and executive director of An Even Place. She showed up on screen with the kindest, most knowing smile, and I thought, “This woman has walked through fire and come out glowing.” And she has.
An Even Place is 100% dedicated to post-abortion healing for women and men — almost entirely virtual now, so anyone anywhere can join a group or get support without having to drive anywhere or tell a soul where they’re going.
It all started with Mindy’s own journey. In her twenties and thirties she had three abortions and carried heavy shame for years. Then in 1999 she signed up for a Forgiven and Set Free Bible study, terrified she was beyond God’s forgiveness. She wasn’t. She walked out truly free — the kind of free that changes how you breathe.
God basically said, “Perfect. Now go help me get the others.” For the last 25+ years that’s exactly what she’s been doing: leading Bible-based groups for women and men, hosting retreats, running the Your Healing Place podcast, writing devotionals, and building the safest online space for people who think their past abortion disqualifies them from ever feeling peace again.
→ A man joined their men’s group thinking “real men don’t cry about this stuff.” Eight weeks later he was sobbing, speaking his baby’s name out loud for the first time in decades, and today he leads worship at his church with zero shame.
→ A woman showed up to her first session barely whispering. By the last week she was laughing — full-out laughing — while showing the group the tiny pair of booties she bought just to hold when she prays. She said, “I thought joy was gone forever. Turns out it was just waiting for me to stop punishing myself.”
→ Another participant wrote: “I spent 17 years hating the girl I used to be. After this group I looked in the mirror and said, ‘Hey, I like you again. And Jesus never stopped.’”
Mindy calls it finding “an even place”
— Psalm 26:12, that solid, level ground where shame finally loses its grip and you can stand tall again.
At the end, she prayed over every exhausted pregnancy center worker on the call — for actual rest, refreshed spirits, and strength to keep doing this sacred work without burning out. It was truly a blessing.
So here’s your official pause-the-Christmas-madness invitation:
Grab that second cup, curl up for a few minutes, and go visit anevenplace.com. Listen to an episode of her podcast Your Healing Place (they’re short, real, and seriously hope-filled). If something stirred in you today, reach out to Mindy. Or sign up for the next virtual group. There’s always a seat.
Because if God could turn Mindy’s pain into this kind of radiant freedom and joy, He can absolutely do it for you — or someone you love.
It’s real. I watched it live.
And I really, really want you to experience it too.
Much Love,
Sandy
